Grasshopper, sprinkler, lego and Pictureka

This grasshopper has been in our care for over 2 days now and it is still alive. That has to be some kind of record.

It turns out grasshoppers are herbivores. It has been provided with fresh grass to eat in its home, the Bugcatcher.

Last night there was some running through the sprinkler in the backyard.

Max likes playing this game called Pictureka where you have to hunt for pictures amongst the images on the big cards, kind of like Where's Waldo.

He has also designed a convertible boat out of Lego. Who gave us the Star Wars lego set, I think it was Christmas 2008? Whoever it was, thankyou! it is getting a lot of use these days.

The local paper is advertising a series of kids activities. The first one is on this Thursday. We meet at the playground 10 minutes from where we are staying, and someone is going to show us how to find GOLD! Every child is guaranteed to find some. In the coming weeks they are also going to teach us how to catch fish under the Wuk Wuk Bridge, and how to find frogs. We're in!
