Max had to meet the other cubs at the cubhouse at 8am on Saturday morning. George was still in his pyjamas. Max got a ride to Healesville with Jack's family.
The Cubs slept overnight at the Healesville Scout Hall. They had a tour of the Healesville Sanctuary, a native Australian animal zoo and animal hospital.
Meanwhile, George went to the poultry auction in Traralgon. There was a distinct smell of chicken poo at the Traralgon Showgrounds that day.
George guarded some people's new chickens while they went off to find their other purchase, a chicken called a Frizzle. When they returned, George patted the Frizzle.
Kate got 4 pullets for $4.50 each and we took them back to her place. George wanted to ride along with the chickens - that's them beside him in their cardboard box.
We made nesting boxes for the 4 pullets and put them in their new home. They will start laying eggs when they are a bit older.
When Max got back from camp he had new rainbow stripey thermal underwear. Thanks Kate!
By this time it was getting closer to our departure date for Canada. Time to do a few last minute things like wrap the presents we had got for the kids of the family in Canada.
Max made the cards, George was in charge of sticky tape.
We had a last visit with new baby Malakai, and last cuddles with Milo and her babies.
Max helped by doing the vaccuuming

We took a train from Bairnsdale to Melbourne, a bus to the airport from the station. Once we were on the plane our camera became a form of entertainment.
We arrived in Taiwan at 4am and didn't leave again until 11pm. The airline put us in a hotel for the day.
They fed us, and let us use their swimming pool, and we watched some TV and tried to have a nap. This was the view out our window.
This is the wildlife that we saw inside that green circle.
A stripey pill bug.
The shell that had been shed by a cicada;
And an impressive pointy snail shell, with no snail at home inside.
Back at the hotel some of James Bond's santas helpers took a photo of themselves with Max and George, and George swiped the camera and took a picture of a waitress.
Here is Max when he fell asleep in the Taipei airport lounge. When he woke up later he was on the plane and had no idea how he'd gotten there.
10 hours later, Max and George met up with dad at the Vancouver airport.
